How long does a website build take?

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly content comes together. Larger builds with e-commerce or custom integrations take longer; we give you a dated schedule alongside the quote.

Do you use page builders like Elementor?

Yes. We can work with popular page builders such as Elementor, but most of our websites are built using Bricks Builder. It gives us greater control over design and performance while producing cleaner, more efficient websites.

Will I be able to edit the site myself?

Yes. We build sites so that appropriate day-to-day content can be managed through WordPress, and we'll show you how to make common updates at handover.

Can you work with an existing design?

We build from Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch files, and we’ll flag anything that will cause problems in the browser before development starts.

Do you migrate our current site and content?

Yes. Content, media and redirects can be handled as part of launch, with existing URLs and SEO signals carefully considered to minimise disruption to search visibility. See website migration.

Who owns the code?

Once the project is paid for, you own the website and the bespoke work we've created for you. Third-party software, plugins and services remain subject to their respective licences. There's no obligation to stay with DevEdge for ongoing support or hosting.

What happens after launch?

Every build includes an agreed post-launch fix period. After that most clients move onto a support plan for updates, backups and monitoring.

Do you handle hosting too?

We do, on managed UK infrastructure tuned for WordPress and WooCommerce (see web hosting). We can also deploy to your existing host.
